Upholding electrical safety and practices during new installations, monitoring and aiding with the installation of new equipment. Training employees with the skills to understand and troubleshoot current and new equipment, implementation of safety improvements from older equipment currently in use. Daily talk and walk with technicians to know what they need to have improved, then get a resolution to fulfill the need.

I hold multiple contracts at one time with each one having a difference for each. The majority of my work is looking over installations and guiding contractors as to what needs to be done properly according to specific site standards. I look over the needs for the operation crew and use their input to influence the engineering teams to get a better design to accommodate for daily operations. From that information I design a plan to implement the changes the company wants, while making it user friendly. I am support for troubleshooting, support for choosing the correct electrical instruments for starting up a new system, support for verification of the equipment being built before the installation, support to verify the proper wiring schematics, support for proper programming with electrical schematics, and so on and so fourth.

Instrumentation Technician Responsibilities included but were not limited to, PLC program changes, PLC program improvements, PLC updates, installation of electrical related improvements, software development for improvement projects. Installation and repair devices ranging from 24VDC to 1,000VAC. Troubleshooting and repairing electrical equipment as needed to maintain operation.

Electrical and Instrumentation Technician PC&IS Beauty Making Team Planner – tasks involved establishing fundamentals for the E&I team development. Also included daily troubleshooting electrical equipment, wiring terminations, Network communications, software configurations for Control Modules, Equipment Modules and Phases in a plant start-up environment. Involved with both the Shampoo and Conditioners Start-up Teams. Involvement included understanding, configuration, troubleshooting and updating ladder logic for Rockwell PLC processors, Allen Bradley VFDs, Instrumentation, pneumatic control devices and other process control devices associated with the Batch Making systems. Developed operation guides (One Point Lessons, Best Practice, etc.) regularly to equip peer technicians with the knowledge to solve common issues that arose with equipment. Including documents that guide other technicians how to navigate and communicate with HART enabled devices, navigating though Global Platform logic structure, troubleshooting drives and related equipment.Start-up tasks were to lead verifying motors, drives, modulating and discreet valves and electrical equipment so that they are installed properly and are fully operational. Including electrical drawings yellow lining and red lines where the two were different. Daily start-up activities were dynamic and tested patience and proper planning for the day’s activities.

Carquest was a great job for me while I attended college to pursue my job as an electrical technician/electrician. I am knowledge about vehicles and ways to troubleshoot them, so naturally I was able to help customers choose the correct part for their problem. I started out as a runner for parts and about 1/2 a year later was working the front desk helping customers, delivering parts, and still running parts occasionally. This was great experience to build up my skills to work with customers to listen and understand the symptoms they were having and giving them the proper solution to fix their problem.

Electrical Equipment TesterInteresting and challenging opportunity to test various equipment and note the equipment’s functionality for repair or resale. Included a wide range of products from a simple flashlight to very complex lab and medical equipment.

This was my first job and I started off here as a regular crew member. I was working for this specific franchise owner since the day he opened his first store. As soon as I turned eighteen they asked to promote me to Assistant Manager. I decided to put college off a year to gain the experience and accepted their offer. In the time period of working for this franchise I helped open up four other stores. As an assistant manager I had the full responsibility of training, and performing all of the GM functions other than scheduling and placing stock orders. Every employee loved to work with me and I never had an issue with employees arguing or getting upset with me. The owner did offer me a GM position, but I turned it down because I wanted to go back to school and get my Applied Science Associates Degree. In early April I wanted a change of pace and decided to apply to different job and say goodbye to the fast food industry. My time at Little Caesar's was not a waste and I have gained a lot of experience with training employees and customer service.

This was a job I held while working at Little Caesar's. I decided to leave here after three months because I could gain a lot more experience working at Little Caesar's.
