I was invited to return to the UK to be the J.P. Morgan EMEA regional lead for the Integration team, based in Glasgow.This role involves managing a small cross-regional team (Glasgow, London and Mumbai). The team is responsible for a variety of tasks, covering :Level 2 application support for Cash Equities electronic trading systems :- Front end Order Management Systems- Back end systems- Fault finding and resolutionBusiness As Usual releases :- Discussions with development teams to ascertain new functionality or features that require to be rolled out.- Build out of UAT environments to enable QA teams to perform testing / regression testing of new functionality.- Arrange change records to cover the production rollout of any new functionality.- Attend daily release management calls with production support teams to discuss any change rollout requirements.Technical Project Management :- Datacentre migration at the application level- Onboarding new hardware to the existing Cash Equities technology stack- Cash Equities EMEA MIFID II initiative

Invited to become the technical lead for the J.P. Morgan Futures & Options production support team, based in Singapore.This role was multi faceted and encompassed technical Project Management of various projects, including mandatory stock exchange upgrades. Software involved included the Sungard Global Trader suite (previously GL) and the FIX protocol running under UL fix.In mid 2012, a new team was formed from selected members of the production support team and I was the regional lead for this new Asia Pacific ‘Integration Team’. This role expanded on the previous remit by adding Equities trading technology to the previous Futures & Options trading software and the team has responsibility for interactions between Development / QA & production management teams to ensure that new functionality is understood, added to UAT and properly tested prior to any production release being planned.This Integration role involved management and planning of multiple complex releases on a daily basis as well as managing the area incident/problem/RCA log.

Invited to transfer into the Equities Exchange connectivity team to help implement good practices from the Futures and Options business model – implementing the Futures and Options customized SunGard GL Trader software, replacing the vendor vanilla version.This role was a hybrid of Project Management, Vendor Management (Sungard / Stock Exchanges), technical implementation, technical testing and release management

Initially worked in the production support team in Glasgow and was invited to transition to join the main support team in London in 2007. Support centered around various e-Trading applications, including SunGard’s Global Trader (GL) Application, the ULLINK FIX bridge platform and in house Order Management Systems.Main duties First line support of internal and external client calls, ranging from application issues, to new trader onboarding requests. All calls were tracked using tools such as Alacrity and JIRA.Assisting with handling and resolution of production Incidents / problems reported from both internal and external clients.Successfully handled a variety of calls from both internal and external stakeholders, requiring appropriate handling and communication depending on the position of the stakeholder involved.Resolution of calls frequently involved tracing orders through the SunGard Global Trading application and into the J.P. Morgan FIX bridge architecture to identify issues reported with trades. Became a primary owner for the F&O suite of tools written to support the environment (mainly in Perl).Transitioned into a more Level 2 support role – with responsibilities for implementing projects within the team, ranging from mandatory stock exchange work to functional application updates.
