I have undertaken a complete curriculum redesign, overseeing a transition from traditional ICT to computing at Key Stage 4 and have implemented a specialised curriculum pre-option at Key Stage 3. I have nurtured and developed outstanding classroom practice within the faculty and as chair of the Surrey Network IT group I am working with colleagues across the borough to promote and develop Computing practice more broadly. Over the past 2 years we have seen consistent improvement in student attainment and the focus on computing across the key stages has transformed the faculty into an exciting and innovative place, where students are enthused and captivated by the subject.I am currently developing a rich extra-curricular program involving robotics and programming that supports and extends the learning of Computing and IT students at the school, before opening this up to collaboration with students from other institutions.
