My role involves using Quantity Surveying principles to analyse, research, evaluate and present grounds for negligence or unreasonable pricings and report these findings to the Partners in draft. Secondment to facilities provider for the Defence Estates as commercial support to operation teams, advising and preparing target costs and value for money statements in respect of cost reimbursable framework contract throughout the Midlands region.Commercial manager(CM) to a civil engineering and railway signalling sub-contractor in Hatfield on various projects ranging from £1.5m to £7m. (Glen Parva Leicester, North Erewash, Darlington Junction South and Lincoln).Contracts MF1 Rev 4, complete with RT18 and bespoke amendments. My primary role on these projects was to review contractual terms and conditions whilst identifying risk, ensuring cost control and developing commercial processes and procedures.Prepare and submit tenders on the Metropolitan Line power upgrade packages for trackside civil works and associated substation upgrades.CM to mechanical & electrical company at Birmingham Airport which provided the installation of a new taxi and apron. Secondment as Senior Commercial Manager to Mechanical subcontractor on £17million PFI Hospital in Coventry; contract JCT Dom 2 c/w bespoke amendments. Primary role on project to ensure cost control and contractual security and to drive commercial initiatives on the ground to create the commercial awareness and culture required within the onsite team.Management of onsite Quantity Surveying team who are responsible to prepare financial statement of Anticipated Final Account, monthly financial reports on sales value and cost projections, measurement of Vo’s and agreement, formulation of sub-subcontractor orders, valuations and agreement of subcontractor accounts.Reporting directly to Regional Commercial manager on all financial issues.Internally responsible for developing new Regional Birmingham office. Successfully marketing the region that achieved growth of resources in excess of first year’s expectations and achieving business plan targets.
