About Duncan Raitt

I write, produce and direct animated films at Plastic Milk, a company I co-founded in 2006. We specialise in short form animation that communicates, educates and entertains. Our portfolio includes award winning children’s TV series, corporate films, title sequences and short films. I also head up IP development for the studio. This involves helping create and shape concepts, identifying and securing funding opportunities, facilitating workshops and writers’ rooms, developing scripts, recruiting and managing talent, creating pitch bibles and pitching to broadcasters.We recently wrote, produced and directed a series of 7 animated films for BBC Bitesize. The series introduces primary school children to multiplication and division through character led comedy. Previously we created an award winning short film, 65 x 7mins 3D character animation for CBeebies, and a raft of other animated and interactive projects for a range of different media.Specialities : Creative and concept development, visual storytelling, storyboarding, project planning.
