Duncan is an experienced consultant and a coach in the non-profit sector focusing on operational, systems and people development in organisations. Duncan is interested in the developing-world business, non-profit and social environs. He is passionate about social justice, and about creating positive change for young South Africans. Duncan has been working in the non-profit sector since 2007, and has held management and executive positions in operations, finance and administration since 2010. He holds an MBA in Executive Management and an Executive Coaching certification from the Graduate School of Business at the University of Cape Town, and an undergraduate degree in Psychology and Economics from the University of South Africa. Duncan has worked with a range of non-profit client’s including the DGMT incubated Public School Partnerships, The Instructional Leadership Institute, Axium Education, Common Good and Education Ally. From 2017 to 2023, Duncan was part of the global non-profit Ark, responsible for operations in the Ark South Africa branch, where he held the position of Associate Director.From 2018 to 2023, Duncan formed part of the Education Partnerships Group (EPG) South African consultancy team. He was responsible for building models of excellence in the areas of operations and finance for the WCED led Collaboration Schools pilot. He currently holds the position of Associate Director, with a focus on Business Development at the Instructional Leadership Institute. When not coaching and consulting, Duncan loves to be outdoors with his family, making music and restoring vintage sports cars.
