I'm on Burbo Bank performing tests of the Cathodic Protection systems, water equality and anode current output. Subcontracting for SMC.

Assisting with the disconnection, cutting of the cable, hang off removal, cable end seal and post wet storage testing.

Assisting in the T-boot change outs on the towers, due to corrosion build up in the system.

I lead a team carrying out final walk downs which are the above water inspections on the TP foundations for Ørsted. These are internal and external inspections. I'm basically doing final walk downs for O&M, photographing and reporting on Array Cables, Terminations, paint coating damage, corrosion, defective equipment, structural defects and everything in between. Writing reports, completing daily progress reports and other admin.

I lead a team of 4 confined space rescue technicians carrying out above water structural inspections on the TP foundations for Ørsted. These are internal and external inspections which include carrying out measurements of the Cathodic protection systems, inspecting the TP Verticality and measuring and recording the grit and settlement down in the confined space below the air tight platform. Offshore technician supporting structural inspections on Ørsted wind turbines at the Borkum Riffgrund project. Assist rigging and de-rigging safety and evacuation equipment to support confined space inspections as well as assisting inspectors with inspection techniques and measurements.

On this job Ive been doing a mixture of general maintenance jobs on the turbines such as fixing, replacing and certifying latchway systems, Replacing Davit crane breaks, loading gates, fitting radar reflectors, air tight hatches and general maintenance and inspection of the turbine. I've written daily DPR reports, risk assessments and method statements for individual jobs. I've also done a lot of different training. Working as a jointers mate for cable termination operations. For the role I would assist with the pull and stripping of cables from the hang offs, fitting hang off clamps, quadrants and termination boxes, untwisting cables and routing them round quadrants and onto Unistrut, round to the termination boxes, then terminate the HV cables.

Wind turbine transfers. Engine room maintenance. Assisting in dive support operations. Assisting riggers and techs with equipment lifts from boat to turbine (involving slinging and banksman jobs). Securing loads for transfer. Other skills and experience gained: Snagging with the saps. Checking array cables, hangoffs and replacing washers/ spring washers etc (general jointers mates jobs).
