  I currently work as communications assistant for an EU-funded project, Community Currencies in Action (CCIA). The aim of CCIA is to develop a well-researched body of knowledge on various community currency models, in order to help the community currency movement to grow and facilitate the emergence of the next generation of practitioners. We work with multiple pilot currencies around Europe and several partner organisations with expertise in the field. I am directly employed by one of these - Spice - and seconded to another, the New Economics Foundation. My responsibilities include: managing social media outlets; maintaining and writing content for our websites (ccia.eu and community-currencies.info); writing newsletters and press releases; creating an maintaining contacts databases; proofreading and contributing to publications (reports, books); assisting with the organisation of conferences and other events; many other miscellaneous things.
