Empower Energy was founded with the aim of developing and operating small power projects in sub- Saharan Africa that will provide both financial and social returns. Empower Energy is committed to developing affordable and sustainable power projects that will provide electricity to some of the 600 million people in sub-Saharan Africa that do have access to electricity. Led operations in Turkey with full P&L accountability. Contributed more than 60% of InterGen’s projected operational cash flow prior to selling interests in projects. Responded to challenges to power purchase agreements including adjustments to liberalization of Turkish electricity sector. Proposed annual business plan and agreed cash flow, net income, and health/safety goals with shareholders. Monitored performance results and modified plan to achieve and exceed target objectives.
