As a member of the HotDocs Classic team, I was responsible for supporting and maintaining a number of legacy applications which were still in active use (both web and on-premise) - Migrated source code and CI/CD pipelines into Azure DevOps- Produced a large amount of technical documentation to capture newly-discovered information and ease eventual migration to newer product suite- Worked with Support team to resolve customer issues- As acting Scrum Master for the team, I facilitated the flow of work and best practices within the team

Heavily involved in building a healthcare platform for patient diabetes management. When I arrived, the team was a motley crew of developers building a single, bug-riddled web portal. Upon leaving there was a platform consisting of numerous portals and web services, many automated tests in place, and an efficient development process, involving a DevOps task board, code review, branching and CI/CD release pipelines.- Developed a lot of the software, especially the web interfaces, third-party integrations and rule-based engines.- Involved in design discussions.- Technically mentored junior staff.- Recommended development process and code review.

Full stack development of primarily the firm's external-facing websites. Using Agile principles and a TFS board for managing the workload, the job was varied, and could involve anything from developing the back end code to a fully-responsive front end.- Key involvement in the complete rebuilt of www.bailliegifford.com in Umbraco.- A large amount of development & support on the Client Extranet application.- Spent time in the Intranet team working on the intranets and corporate governance system utilising Angular and unit testing.- Regularly on team support rota, triaging and fixing a continuous stream of demands from internal staff.- Regular communication with other development teams and departments to gather requirements.

Development of a telecoms expense management solution platform for a number of small-large clients. The platform consisted of a data warehouse with web portal and forms component via which clients and data technicians could access and report on/analyse the data to determine savings, usage etc. Worked in a team of 6 using Agile. Key parts of my role were:- Developed new and existing dynamic AJAX-enabled pages of the web portal to support new requirements and functionality and provide a smooth user experience.- Developed/maintained backend solutions across the application to either support the UI functionality or enhance the invisible, task-based service layer.- Performed bug fixes and performance enhancements across the application.- Mentored less experienced developers, sharing knowledge, managing sprints and making key decisions regarding the application and the way forward for the product.

Realise were one of the leading digital agencies in Scotland. Some projects included:- Tottenham Hotspur FC – implemented the server for caching/serving data feeds e.g match stats.- Lloyds Sustainability Tool – A web application for creating a sustainability plan and creating/emailing an RTF/PDF of the plan.

Aridhia are a healthcare informatics company with a global client base. The job was varied, involving everything from improving the software quality (including unit testing) to redesigning the UI of the flagship web application and creating a new ETL data feed.
