I was semi-exec for 2 years as the 3rd director with the 2 founders and advised on strategy, funding, management processes, hiring, product, go to market and governance. I raised £10m in seed, series A and series B rounds. Ceo, FounderPlasrecycle Jul 2010 - Jul 2015London, England, GbPioneered new technology to recycle thin film plastics such as bags and other post-consumer low density polythene. Built the world's 1st-of-a-kind facility to recycle post-consumer LDPE and HDPE into making new products. The facility can process 20,000 tonnes per annum of post-consumer films and bags, equivalent to 2.5 billion HDPE shopping bags. Developed concept of "bag to bag" closed loop system. I bootstrapped first 2 years of business and R&D costs before raising £16 million over 4 rounds of venture capital from seed to series B, from Foresight and others. Interviewed by various national media eg Radio4, Financial Times, Times. Our pioneering facility was visited by 2 Government Ministers (Sir Ed Davey and Sir Michael Fallon). -
