With over 24 years of IT experience, including the last 14 years in the commodities industry at Glencore International, Switzerland, I bring a wealth of expertise to the table. For the past 5 years, I have led the Data Analytics team, overseeing 20+ professionals organized into multiple sub-teams supporting various systems.Our teams collaborate closely to deliver solutions for both group functions (Accounting, Finance, Compliance, & Risk) and the Metal and Coal marketing departments.Business Intelligence / Data Integration Team:Responsible for our Data Lakehouse solution, sourcing, transforming, and consolidating data from Glencore’s global IT landscape. for reporting solutions ranging from classical end-of-day data warehousing to near real-time DataMarts.Sourcing of data from both on-premise and cloud solutions, including Oracle, SharePoint, SQL Server, and Snowflake. This includes near real-time data from the main trading platforms via CDC and FIX Message Feeds from the main derivatative trading exchanges (LME, CME, SGX).Data Visualization & Analytics Team:Responcible for developing and supporting a wide range of reporting solutions, from mobile and interactive dashboards to classical Business Objects-style reporting.They also cover global Scope 3 carbon emission reporting for both marketing and industrial divisions.Risk Team:Responcible for the Credit Risk application, consolidating all data related to physical deals, derivative trading, payments, and risk-mitigating instruments from the Oil, Coal, and Metals divisions.Performing margin calculations across multiple exchanges via FIS Margining and the management/exchanging of margins using FIS STFC for the finance department.Support regulatory reporting for EMIR, MiFID, and FinfraG.Market Risk and Value at Risk reportingPreviously, I served as a Senior Business Analyst/Project Manager, delivering software projects to support Glencore's commodity marketing division on our in-house trading system.Before joining the commodities industry, I spent 11 years as a PowerBuilder and Oracle developer, culminating in my role as a Lead Developer for Telefonica Germany.
