While working as a student technician at the IT help desk, I greatly improved my customer service skills, both in person and over the phone. I was required to troubleshoot hardware and software problems. Through working with my fellow student technicians and the full-time staff, I built my leadership skills and ability to work in a team. I assisted students in the lab sections of calculus I and several computer science courses, including the introductory programming courses, computer architecture, and embedded computing. I provided advice and guidance and reinforced material presented by the instructor. I also held office hours throughout the semester to provide assistance to students in.

During the summer of 2015, I worked with a professor of computer science and one of my colleagues to continue development of a proof-of-concept tool to improve unit testing. I honed my ability to work in a team using a Git repository.

While working on the RockSat-C project in the physics department at Hobart and William Smith Colleges, I led development of an Arduino circuit and program to gather and interpret data collected from various sensors and store it on an SD card for later retrieval. I also designed several 3D-printed components.
