As a Projects Manager within the Capital Projects Department responsible for the delivery of both small <£100K and large scale £MM capital projects, from single stand alone units to full production lines through to the successful handover of new projects installations. I have responsibilities for investigating and defining areas for operational efficiency improvements in all aspects of process plant, packing and production. When appropriate I am required to draw up scope and deliverables for feasibility studies using both internal and external subject matter experts as complexity requires. I am also responsible for preparing the business cases for capital funding proposals, engaging with project stakeholders to ensure ownership, attending and presenting at senior management meetings to discuss the planning and timing of projects, inviting, analyzing and evaluating tenders from suppliers, managing budgets and expenditures, leading the installation and commissioning and planning the training of personnel on new equipment and documenting any learning’s for future projects.

• Role reported to Factory Manager and based at Corby.• Attended Daily Operations Reviews in the factories. Ensured that engineering support was timely and focused. • Met regularly with Operations Managers to ensure alignment with projects and initiatives. • Responsible for meeting Key Performance criteria (H&S, Quality, Delivery, Energy, People and cost). Provided support on best practice on asset care. • Responsible for introducing a Site Reliability Engineer to improve asset care and aligned the Engineering Department on a new asset care methodology (CCI TRACC).• Managed the £1.5m p.a. factory engineering budget. Met monthly with finance to ensure revenue accounts were checked and signed off – particular attention to expenditure on overtime and stores issues. • Responsible for environmental performance in support of Operating KPI’s. Worked with “Energy Champions” to assist drawing up action plans to reduce KWh/tonne. • Ensured good communications with other functions (e.g., R&D, Quality & Compliance, Purchasing, Marketing and Sales etc.) at all levels within the Weetabix Group by attending joint planning meetings and interacting with these functions at the main Burton Latimer site. • Secured a £2.5m p.a capital budget for projects for essential replacement, productivity based projects, statutory compliance, H&S compliance. Managed a list of Capital Replacement and Improvement projects and managed the preparation of business cases based on priorities agreed with Operations Managers and other stakeholders.

Responsible for introducing process improvements and process standardisation to production systems on a range of cereal plants across multiple sites. This role includes improving equipment, improving procedures and developing new technical solutions for a range of R.T.E. breakfast cereal processes and cereal bar processes. Given an open brief on process improvements and able to focus on shortcomings with existing processes and operational issues arising from short interval control meetings and shift reports. This requires communication with all levels of the Business Unit - from Operation Managers, Line Leaders and production operators, Engineering Managers, Engineering Team Leaders and multiskilled engineers.
