Developing an integrated potentiometric biosensor platform for contaminants, toxins and disease markers in complex aqueous based samples.Vantix Limited is contracted to VantixDx for the development and commercialisation of the Vantix Holdings IP for use in multianalyte POC, veterinary, environmental testing and food quality assurance sectors.Vantix Limited's aim is to produce an instrument suitable for analytical/diagnostic laboratories, hospitals, food processing factories, produce collection and environmental measuring stations, on an international basis. A 12 channel manual biosensor system is available for the R&D sector.

Medical technology research and development projects

Worked here on a variety of technical projects from capuccino machines and teabag design too dielectrophoresis electrodes and electrical DNA denaturation.

Here I worked on development of a chromatographic matrix for downstream processing. The matrix was based on fluropolymer chemistry and lead to emulsion matrices and a spherical porous beads currently being commercialised. I also worked in-house built SPR devices to look at the kinetics of coating teflon surfaces with polymers and biomimetic dyes for capturing and purifying proteins.

Here I worked on the evolutionary biology/chemistry of hormones in fish and early vertebrates. I developed several immunohistochemistry techniques for difficult tissues.
