I work in a busy private clinic 8 hours per week. Many of my clients are Consultant referrals particularly those with complex shoulder problems, persistent pain and lumbopelvic pain. I have provided training work-shops to colleagues including shoulder dysfunction.

Clinical Experience:My caseload is comprised largely of complex patients referred for specialist physiotherapy intervention from our Consultants, with whom I have built a strong reputation.Areas of expertise and interest include:• The rehabilitation of complex shoulder problems, providing specialist intervention for glenohumeral instability and scapular dysfunction for patients who present from across the region. I recently presented a case study at the BESS conference 2012.• Complex lumbopelvic dysfunction. I have developed our rehabilitation strategies to include contemporary group interventions based on functionally-orientated goals with patients working on individually designed programs of exercise within a framework of education and support. I have previously promoted and developed such strategies across East and Mid-Devon for application in primary care in order to steam-line regional services. • Specialist rehabilitation for hip disorders. I am currently taking part in an RCT examining the effect of 'expert' physiotherapy in rehabilitation of patients with labral pathology.• Persistent pain patients, working closely with our Pain Team.• TOS patients, where I am embarking on an audit with a view to publishing in the future.• Post-operative rehabilitation for many Orthopaedic procedures.• Acute patients referred from the Emergency Department.I provide regular advice to colleagues across the region, particularly with reference to orthopaedic protocol.Management Experience:I lead a team of staff providing dynamic, effective and contemporary evidence-based interventions to achieve the best possible outcome for patients. I pride myself on pushing the continuing development of the team through in-service training and mentorship of junior, senior and student staff.
