Accountable for the M&A agenda, including a full review of the UK food industry for potential acquisition targets, which resulted in the $2B acquisition of Kwik Save, another national food retailer. Played a key role in the evaluation of the acquisition, the development of the recommendation to the Board, due diligence, negotiations and the subsequent financial and operational integration.

Managed corporate audits for clients in a number of industry sectors. Selected for two secondments to publicly traded audit clients, including British Aerospace, to advise on the implementation of an internal audit function.
