Directed the assembly, disassembly, maintenance, test and repair of munitions to support operational requirements and the assigned stockpile. Maintained conventional munitions, containers, dispensers, training items, and assigned material and munitions handling equipment. Ensured database transactions were processed to update inspections, serviceability, movement, and expenditures. Ensured current and remaining allocations and levels of training and war reserve material remain supportable and are not exceeded. Performed demilitarization of inert munitions when authorized. Processed, certified, and documented munitions residue and empty containers for turn-in to Disposition services and base stock. Performed maintenance on equipment as needed. Collected information, made proper notifications, and direct/oversee actions to be taken in response to all emergencies, contingency actions, work stoppages, manning, and equipment shortfall. Developed, maintained, and used quick reference checklists. Managed keys and locks to assigned storage and maintenance facilities. Maintained work order status of each explosive operation to include operaiton, location, crew size, and status. Maintained maps showing the entire storage area, primary and alternate explosive routes, and sited explosive locations outside the storage area. Maintained copies of war and contingency plan annexes and appendixes as well as flow plans in support of in-place or deployment contingencies which directly task the munitions activity. Maintained records of engineering inspections and tests of real property installed equipment.

Implemented management controls for munitions assets, records munitions transactions, and manages allocations, stock levels, inventories, requisitions, and disposition of munitions. Maintains and validates accountable and auditable records. Provided interpretation, guidance, and training on accountability standards to responsible officers, custodians, and other designated personnel. Initiated inventory adjustment procedures when appropriate. Notified supervision of information or data suggesting negligence, fraud, or theft involving munitions accountability. Implemented forecasting and allocation procedures based on guidance published annually in the Peacetime Conventional Ammunition Requirements memorandum distributed by the Global Ammunition Control Point. Ensured munitions shipments were properly book, through transportation channels and shipments were aggressively tracked to ensure timely departure.

Oversaw munitions training programs, implemented training standards, and developed local policies, procedures, and training plans for munitions supervision approval. Developed and coordinated training schedules, to include Combat Munitions Training (CMT), and provided them to the scheduling section for publication in munitions schedules. Maintained training aids in a condition that provides optimal training realism. Ensured current munitions technical data, checklists, and operating instructions for assigned munitions are available for use. Monitored training documents to ensure personnel have completed recurring training requirements. Provided non-munitions augmentation personnel with initial and recurring explosives safety and practical training for their expected duties. Annually developed forecasts for munitions courses and submit to the Major Command as directed.

Inspected, maintained, and serviced assigned non-powered munitions material handling equipment. Documented equipment records, process appropriate transactions in munitions data base and related maintenance information systems. Documented inspection and maintenance actions to include performing scheduled corrosion control. Scheduled maintenance requirements beyond unit capability with appropriate repair sections such has hydraulics and sheet mental repair.

Performed warehouse operations for munitions stocks and maintained storage area infrastructure, facilities, vehicles, and equipment to ensure mission support. Developed and maintained a master storage plan using munitions data base reports and programs. Utilized the master storage plan to plan and maximize storage capacity, control net explosive weight quantity distance limits, maintain explosive compatibility, maintain security, and preserve munitions assets.
