Key portfolio assets include: Faculty / Staff Housing, Commercial Properties, Agricultural Properties, and the Cal Poly Technology Park.

* Corporate / Industry Sponsored Research / Engagement - Engage, foster, develop and grow strategic partnerships and collaborations with industry and provide oversight and signatory authority for a variety of research-related contracts such as non-disclosure, material transfer, and sponsored research agreements with for-profit sponsors. Oversight and fiscal/administrative responsibility for pre and post-award management of for-profit sponsored projects. Annual proposal submissions exceeding 300 with $4-5M in expenditures from +150 awards. Support outreach efforts related to Cal Poly’s strengths in research and economic development efforts at the federal, state, and local level* Technology Park Design and Management - Lead future Cal Poly Technology Park expansion and capital projects with corporate, government, and philanthropic funding partners for Cal Poly Technology Park expansion. Management responsibility of the existing Cal Poly Technology Park including: marketing the park for tenant recruitment, lead lease negotiations with tenants, maintain business plan, budgets, and financial reporting. * Technology Transfer - • Supervise staff in negotiations with faculty inventors concerning intellectual property rights, equity sharing, and inventorship. Supervise license negotiations, options and other agreements related to the licensing of assigned University inventions.
