  Leading a commercial team of 3, we are responsible for managing the Victory Pier Development in Gillingham Kent. This multi-million pound development comprising of 15 buildings and accompanying infrastructure works is challenging but interesting. These buildings include residential apartments, student accommodation, commercial units and infrastructure works. Duties include full financial control from forecasting, monitoring and controlling of whole site prelims; the competitive tendering and analysis of trade packages; preparation and issue of contracts; active cost control over taut budgets during construction; managing variation accounts and preparing and agreement of final accounts. We excel in working with all departments / divisions to ensure costs and delivery targets are met effectively and reported accurately and efficiently. On a monthly basis, cost reconciliation is carried out using bespoke Excel spreadsheets as reconciling and forecasting tools. General duties include training other surveyors, setting up and implementing documentation management systems, preparing claims as required and ensuring that the management templates within Berkeley Group are utilised. We are also involved in the preparation of detailed Sales specification and enhancing the tendering processes within our Sales Department.
