I have an Engineer's degree and a Bachelors degree in Biology, with two M.Sc. in ecology, and a Ph.D. in Forest ecology and forest resources use planning.In my early professional life I worked for International Cooperation institutions in traditional and indigenous populations' land forest resources use planning, and biodiversity conservation, and applied remote sensing and GIS. In that period I worked as an Expert or Project Manager for the German GTZ/KfW, World Bank, European Commission, UNEP, UNDP, and other international and national institutions in South America, Africa, and Southeast Asia (+30 years of experience). Shortly after moving to Brazil, in 1991 (as a short-term German Government GTZ adviser to the Brazilian Federal Government), I started my own company, now with branches in six countries. At present I am working on UAV design and manufacturing, and (at a personal level) still work on land use planning and biodiversity conservation using UAV operated remote sensing tools in African and South American countries. AREAS OF INTERESTI am always adding new remote sensing tools and new ways of doing things better in my work. So, I've being moving all my technical workflow (and my company’s) into using customized UAV operated sensors. With this I consistently improved the quality of the products of my personal projects, in less time, and at a lower cost.As part of this new technological approach, I involved myself in UAV manufacturing and sensor payload integration through Aerofoundry, in addition to using UAV in almost all my projects (which is quite a lot of fun). In addition to work on UAV specially tailored for remote sensing surveys, I am currently devising new and faster ecological appraisal/forest inventory methods for tropical forest ecosystems, through UAV operated sensors and customized field support.TO MARKETING PEOPLE OFFERING UAV (drone) RELATED HARDWAREI personally do not purchase hardware of any kind.
