It’s my current roll to maintain the Safety of multiple Road maintenance and repair sites across the country.I ensure all company’s and the governments regulatory measures are adhered to and that all employees and contractors wear the correct PPE and behave to our standards.Part of my roll is to perform soft audits on sites in cooperation with our regional supervisor.I regularly travel to locations in Norfolk, Hereford, Powys, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Shropshire on… Show more It’s my current roll to maintain the Safety of multiple Road maintenance and repair sites across the country.I ensure all company’s and the governments regulatory measures are adhered to and that all employees and contractors wear the correct PPE and behave to our standards.Part of my roll is to perform soft audits on sites in cooperation with our regional supervisor.I regularly travel to locations in Norfolk, Hereford, Powys, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Shropshire on a daily basis.My average driving time to locations is 2.5hrs either way.On top of that roll I also perform the duties of an Operative and set up and maintain site locations such as road closures, temporary traffic lights, convoying traffic, Etc to allow Tarmac to perform maintenance on behalf of private companies and various councils.I chose to take on this roll as a new challenge during the start of the covid crisis as I’d worked in retail in some form of management roll or another for most of my career and I felt like a change of pace would help.And it has, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my job and still do.I regularly work upto 16hrs a day and do on average 300 miles throughout a shift. I’ve overseen a number of individual projects in store with our team, such as re-organising the warehouse to make it more efficient every six months and making sure the staff are fully trained and up to date on them latest company policies and procedures, as well as any legal requirements.I have also helped open numerous stores within the company by being requested, this is due to my planning and organisational abilities as well as my speed and attitude towards work. This involved a lot of time away from home with each new store, I’m now happier to just work locally so I get more time with my family.Every time we get a new company targets or incentives to aim for, we hit them nine times out ten. This is due to good communication and training in the team which we do our best to encourage and push forward.We rarely if ever have any problems because of this, and that’s reflected in the feedback we get from our customers via emails customers send to the company on a daily basis.
