Aude was my student in MS&E 263, a course on healthcare operations management, and a Research Assistant for several projects at LPCH. In the months Aude has worked with us at LPCH, she has been part of a team of graduate students, practicing clinicians, and hospital leaders. She led work on two important projects, analyzing and improving the flow of surgical patients and building a simulation and forecasting model to help plan for the opening of a new building that will double the capacity of the hospital. She has shown fluency in all aspects of working in healthcare, from mapping current processes by shadowing patients and interviewing the nurses to analyzing historical data and coding a forecasting tool for the hospital expansion. Her strong technical skills, ability to communicate clearly, and exceptional organization make her an invaluable partner.
