Take leadership in innovative program development and ensuring delivery of high-quality result oriented program in livelihood; particularly lead in carrying out sub-sector/value chain analysis and market linkages in SC's livelihood programs; build the capacity of SCI region and district based staff and partner NGO's staff especially in livelihoods, agriculture and marketing.

Develop and implement market and post-harvest value addition activities under Food Security and Value Chain components of NEAT; design and implement programs on value chain governance and strategic strengthening of value chains; develop training materials related to marketing management, post-harvest handling of agro-products, business planning, GAP demonstrations, organize producers' and buyers' dialogue, meeting and exposure visits in order to dig out the measures for unclogging the logjam in value chains of different sub-sectors, as a senior staff member participate in senior level staff meeting regularly held in the centre and regions

Provide strategic direction and leadership support to staffs working in livelihoods thematic area; contribute to devise UMN's strategy, policy, plans and guidelines related to livelihoods, food security and climate change; build the capacity of cluster officers and partner staffs in conducting Sub-sector Analysis (SSA), baseline surveys and develop projects based on the outputs of SSA; monitoring of programs and donors reporting.

Provide strategic direction; establish effective functional linkage with donors; document evidence and knowledge management; Develop project concept papers/proposals and explore them for external project funding; Timely technical inputs and guidance to project staff on livelihoods, climate change and marketing; Build the capacity of field staff and collection centres on post-harvest handling and marketing of high value agriculture crops; Financial management of the assigned projects and reporting to funding agencies; Act as Project Leader for the projects assigned by the organisation and monitoring: USAID funded NFRP, HMRP, Plan Nepal funded livelihood projects.
