Also, assists or performs duties of Lead Engineers in the group as and when assigned.To assist Lead Engineers in the group during development of material selection diagrams, material selection report, corrosion risks assessment studies or other deliverable as requested by Principal Lead Engineer.Definition of the anti corrosion strategy using CP/ COATING / PAINTING / CHEMICAL TREATMENT/ CRA (corrosion resistant alloy) in order to optimize quality and costs. Issuing of engineering corrosion philosophy document including pipeline and Topside equipment review. Interface with Equipment / Electrical/ Instrumental engineering disciplines Transfer of the corrosion strategy to the discipline responsible of CP / Painting and Coating design. Corrosion failure analysis upon Project/ Assets request. Design, manage, or implement (as applicable) corrosion control strategies covering corrosion monitoring and inspection activities, including preparation and delivery of annual and periodic reports, corrosion status of systems, identification and assessment of significant trends from surveys.Provide authoritative technical assessment and interpretation of corrosion/inspection monitoring data (using databases as apt) and recommend changes in corrosion criticality analyses and monitoring/inspection programs where appropriate.Complete detailed corrosion and materials studies.Undertake or co-ordinate failure investigations into material and corrosion issues in accordance with prescribed or approved failure investigation procedures.Participate in and provide input to the regular review of corrosion management information such as Corrosion Control Matrices and Key Performance Indicators.

Reports to: Inspection EngineerKey Interfaces: Asset Engineering/Operations/MaintenanceSupervision of a team of inspectors & multi-disciplined NDT personnel to complete client inspection program.In-Service Inspection and Major Overhaul Inspection of Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers & other process equipment.Carrying out thorough visual inspection complemented with NDT examination on pressure vessels, heat exchangers, fin fan coolers, fired heaters, process piping systems, well head assemblies, oil/gas gathering clusters, pipelines and above ground storage tanks as per planned frequency to assure the mechanical integrity.Review and analysis of previous inspection reports to summarize the integrity status of the piping systems.Retirement thickness calculation, corrosion rate calculation, remaining service life calculation for process piping systems and advising for any repairs/replacement/re-rating requirements.Calculate minimum thickness for piping, vessel shells, heads and nozzles per API 510, API 570 & API 653. Reporting all pertinent information to Plant EngineerCalculate MAWP for vessels with internal pressures and external pressures. Calculate the rate of corrosion on piping, Vessels and then establish remaining life. Write repair recommendations. Identifying areas of special concern and deterioration (e.g., dead legs, injection points, buried piping, corrosion under insulation (CUI), erosion, corrosion & preparation of inspection procedures to follow-up their resolution to improve Plant integrityInspect any completed repairs, modifications and/or replacement.Entering plant equipment, observing conditions, making preliminary interpretations and issuing recommendations.Advise on repair techniques, materials selection, welding procedures, inspection & testing requirements.
