As a Marine Staff Sergeant, I held several training designations related to my job field as well as a continual leader and mentor to the young Marines in my shop.Training whether formal or informal occurred daily, weekly or monthly depending on the topics. A year after leaving the Marine Corps, I found a job that would allow me to utilize my years of experience working for the Navy teaching the same knowledge that I had worked with for so long. As this position winds down due to base closure and realignment, I look to find a job that will allow me to help others be successful at theirs.I have carried on my ways within our volunteer fire department as well. Whenever any one looks like they are unsure of themselves or a piece of equipment, I readily take the time to help them out and to teach them about it. Just like in military aviation, when somebody doesn't know their job or does it half way, someone else's safety can be directly affected. I don't want anybody getting hurt.
