Served as Executive Director for the American Business Coalition for Doha (ABCDoha), the leading voice for more than 200 major US companies and organizations on multilateral trade negotiations on behalf of Business Roundtable.

Director for Central America (2002-2004): Managed interagency team of more than 100 negotiators from launch to conclusion of free trade talks worth over $15 billion in annual trade with five Central American countries. Managed bilateral dialogue with Panama and the Dominican Republic, culminating in the launch of free trade agreement negotiations.Director for Multilateral Trade and Environment Policy (2001-2002): Bridged public, private sector and civil society interests to negotiate agreed solutions on key provisions in major United Nations agreements including the WTO Doha Development Agreement and Corporate Social Responsibility in the United Nations World Summit on Sustainable Development.

Office of Multilateral Affairs (1999-2001): Negotiated trade provisions of the Biosafety Protocol on genetically modified agricultural commodities; biotech labeling standards in the FAO Codex Alimentarius Commission and led discussions in the WTO Trade and Environment Committee.Office of Automotive Affairs (1997-1999): Negotiated automotive agreements with Taiwan and Korea; created the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum (APEC) Automotive Dialogue, the first government-industry forum in APEC.Presidential Management Fellow (1996-1997)
