The right people are always looking for opportunity to improve processes.Spend time sorting your key business processes, get the key controls and measures in place, delegate to staff as appropriate, and move on to adding value by providing financial, operational and strategic advice to the Board & Senior Management Team. Focus on desired outputs and work backwards to identify process improvements. If you can’t explain a scenario in simple terms then you are making it too complicated and you don’t see the big picture.I have worked in a number of roles spanning Senior Management, Business & Software consulting, Management, Financial & Cost Accounting, Forecasting & Planning, and at Board level in the Not-for-Profit sector.I have also worked across a number of industries including Finance & Merchant Banking, Manufacturing & Supply Chain and service industries which has included Telecommunications, Technology and Software Development.
