I am a multidisciplinary designer and educator, currently an Assistant Professor for Design & Interdisciplinary Practice and Program Coordinator for the Interdisciplinary Design program under the UNESCO Chair on Inclusion Through Arts at Beaconhouse National University, Lahore. I am also a member of the Social Design Network.My research explores the complex dynamics of power, politics, and neocolonial practices in design and pedagogy. As an Industrial Designer and Researcher, I have collaborated with organizations globally addressing critical social and healthcare challenges, including initiatives for paraplegia, clean water solutions for urban slums, learning platforms for underserved children, and lead co-designing projects. Additionally, I also explore the effects of solutionism and frictionless environments on democratic systems and public spaces, focusing on the intersection of design, technology, and the socio-political landscape.Currently, I am looking for PhD opportunities in the larger realm of social design, design politics, and transdisciplinary practices.
