My role involves two main responsibilities: Testing Engineer Role: - Deriving test specifications from system requirements. - Implementing test cases using a Python-based automation software. - Automating the testing process for execution on various HiL stations, tailored to specific testing purposes and configurations. - Analyzing test results to assess ECU software performance, collaborating with HiL station supervisors and partner companies to diagnose the root causes of anomalies. - Debugging automation processes and identifying issues in software and hardware integration. - Communicating findings and anomalies to product and function owners. - Communicating bugs via ticket-systems to developers. - As a tester, the role is crucial for detecting software bugs and verifying the correct functionality of the ECU software. This task demands consistency, thoroughness, patience, and objectivity to ensure that the software behaves as intended in a variety of scenarios.HiL Station Supervisor Role: - Supporting colleagues in testing and troubleshooting HiL models, assisting with resolving communication issues between ECUs and the HiL system. - Commissioning and integrating additional functionalities into the HiL system, including expanding models and connecting new ECUs and ensuring seamless communication and functionality between newly added components - Overseeing the setup and automation of supportive systems required for efficient testing processes. - In managing the HiL station, there's a strong responsibility to ensure that the testing environment is reliable, functional, and continuously optimized for complex testing tasks. Any errors in the system setup or communication could compromise test results, making this a role that requires vigilance, problem-solving, and technical expertise.
