COVID19CZ was created as a joint initiative of the top Czech technology companies and technology experts, that have gradually attracted a wide community of volunteers and enthusiasts willing to help.Our projects include Line 1212, Smart Quarantine project, open source ventilation unit CoroVent, eRouška app, Hospital-online, DameRoušky, StopCovid campaign, among others. On the one hand, the initiative showed the great potential of the Czech (not only) technology community, but on the other hand it made clear the absolute unreadiness of the government in a systematic and modern way. Direct experience with the key figures of the Czech government, the Health ministry and the Sanitary Office was a sad experience, where the inability to understand data and analyses and to think systematically two steps ahead, were the reasons for the subsequent failure of the Czech gvernment to deal with the Covid19 pandemic.

In the Czech Republic, YPO has about 80 members, including top talent from the Czech world of business.

Together with David Holý, I co-founded and directed ePojisteni.cz, which became the largest comparison engine for insurance in the Czech Republic. The company gradually expanded to Slovakia, where it also became a strong market player in the insurance industry and adjacent fields. We have gradually transformed the company into a Holding structure NetBrokers Holding, which included other projects 100% owned by us, namely Srovnejto.cz, Tarifomat, Elephant Orchestra, Uspory.cz, SlevyDnes.cz, Slevin.cz, SuperPoistenie.sk, RychlePoistenie.sk a ProfiSMS.In 2008, we successfully sold the group of companies with over 400 employees to a German group Bauer Media, in what was one of the largest ecommerce transactions in the Czech Republic at that time.

I co-founded and helped to build an ecommerce technology business, which created products such as Inbox.com, Spyware Terminator and WebSearch.com, used by over 30 million users around the world.

IBIS Information Systems, which I co-founded, introduced the first internet banking platform to the Czech market. We also managed to gain a dominant market position in the field of information systems for credit unions.
