Dusan Pavlovic is a seasoned consultant with a respectful background in providing consultancy services related to legal and ethical aspects of data protection and the use and development of artificial intelligence. He has extensive experience working with industry clients, academic institutions, and public bodies, including national governments. During his work with industry clients, Dusan has worked with a variety of industries (gambling, hospitality, telecommunications), advising them on regulatory and organizational issues related to the development and enforcement of privacy and data protection programs. The clients he has worked with are based in Europe, the Middle East, the US, and China.Dusan also works in the capacity of a legal and ethics manager in several development projects supported by the European Commission. He takes care of regulatory and ethics compliance in projects focused on the development of AI in smart and cognitive city solutions, new medical treatment solutions, law enforcement tools, and conversational purposes. In addition, Dusan is an independent ethics expert listed by the European Research Executive Agency (European Commission). Also, as a UNDP expert on AI, he advised the Government of the Republic of Serbia (the Prime Minister's Office) on the strategy for regulating AI and developing ethical principles for the development and use of AI.Throughout his career, he has developed strong stakeholder management skills and fostered productive relationships. He can strategically analyze complicated issues, develop strategic initiatives, and implement them operationally. In addition to considerable professional experience, his academic qualifications include an LLM (Leibniz University Hannover, Germany), a PhD (Tilburg University, Netherlands), and a PhD in Law, Science, and Technology (University of Bologna, Italy).
