- Served as leader of the software engineering team that builds the Global Wayfair Delivery Network, which delivers big and bulky parcels across US, Canada, UK, and Germany. - Delivered results in a globally distributed team anchored in Boston and Berlin, partnering deeply with corporate and field operations. - Seamlessly scaled systems during unprecedented peak volumes as the home category drastically shifted online and the carrier market was constrained during COVID. Vision Development and Innovation- Executed on-budget for $10m-$18m annual spend in fast-paced retail environment.- Led planning and execution of migration strategy of Application Platforms from on premise Tomcat Grid servers to a hybrid cloud environment comprised of Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud. Migration drove very large annual cost-out.- Built web-scale custom content management platform and migrating content and client applications from legacy Documentum platform. Resulted in a net annual saving in software maintenance and license costs.People Leadership- Managed 2 managers and staff of 20-30 across 4 agile teams comprised of a blend of FTEs and contractors in the enterprise architecture group.- Built teams of industry-recognized leaders by guiding 6 team members to submit white papers and be awarded speaker slots and keynote stages at multiple industry conference including SpringOne Platform, Cloud Foundry Summit, and GitHub universe. Led by example by presenting at these conferences myself.Partnership Development- Negotiated more favorable terms for enterprise JetBrains licenses and leveraged data analysis to optimize and maintain growth in operations while reducing spend by 40% annually.- Drove The Home Depot's joining the Cloud Foundry Foundation as Gold member and spearheaded successful campaign to elect group Vice President to the Board of Directors. Personally serving as Cloud Foundry Ambassador and Staff Member on Board of Directors. This allows us to drive the core open source product vision and implementation, reducing reliance on priorities of other firms.Technology- Drove implementation of tool in enterprise GitHub instance to suspend inactive users, generating annual savings in additional license cost.- Delivered self-service Cassandra clusters using Cloudbolt servers, reducing engagement and data modeling time required for application teams from 1 week to 10 minutes.

Served as Lead IT Developer for Asset Protection business function. Excelled in role and quickly expanded to include Building Services operations. Grew into Team Lead for Store Systems Device Platforms, responsible for mobile, PC, server, and cloud common services for store applications. Promoted to Manager of this team, and grew role to include a second team, Store Customer Service, responsible for delivery of features and functionality to support various digital and interconnected retail processes. - Delivered on-budget for $4m-$6m annual budget though all phases from planning, pitching, securing funding, staffing, defining scope and schedules, initiative execution, stakeholder communication, negotiation and delivery.- Oversaw application development and implementation for 14-20 direct reports organized into multiple delivery teams on the cutting edge of The Home Depot's digital transformation. - Negotiated with multiple stakeholders to ensure prioritization and execution of migration from Tomcat to Pivotal Cloud Foundry architecture across all applications. - Core member of cross-functional team that delivered next-generation store associate mobile devices. $40 million multi-year effort to replace 60,000 legacy mobile endpoints with state-of-the-art Android KitKat devices.- Developed award-winning "Damage Control" Android app at Motorola Solutions hackathon. The app detects forklift collisions and allows associates to upload photos and summaries of damaged materials, avoiding the labor costs associated with manual incident logging.

Entered startup company that Delcan acquired in 2008. Designed and developed various systems using core components and technologies as Systems Engineer. Promoted into role as Product Manager with increased responsibility and accountability to bottom line of the company. Grew into position of Engineering Manager in charge of all software and hardware engineering products, projects, and personnel for Delcan Technologies. Received strong positive client feedback and high margin returns throughout employment.- Managed team of 10 engineers and developers locally as well as 6 additional staff in offshore development, manufacturing, and production office in Cape Town, South Africa.- Delivered multiple large-scale transportation and fleet management projects for diverse base of domestic and international organizations including Idaho Transportation Department; Georgia DOT; Region of Peel (Toronto); Johannesburg International Airport; St Petersburg, Russia; São Paulo, Brazil; South Dakota DOT; South African National Roads Agency.- Awarded Delcan 2010 Project of Excellence award for Johannesburg ORT International Airport Parking Guidance system project.

Member of design and development team for Windows Mobile augmented reality game allowing school teachers to configure games for students requiring them to walk around with devices to investigate mock nuclear leaks, chemical spills, and other scenarios.
