I'm a young adult librarian, technology geek, fan of multiple fandoms, and a gaming enthusiast. When I say gaming, I mean many of its forms - video games, board games, pen-and-paper role-playing games, and more. There's no such thing as too many games (despite what my backlog of unfinished computer games says). I've been a gamer since my early days, slaying dragons and solving mindbogglingly difficult puzzles.Gaming is my biggest hobby and an area I heavily promote in libraries. The educational value of gaming is astronomical and often isn't used to its full potential. It's also a great outreach tool for the community, gets children and young adults involved in programming, and can break down social barriers that would be difficult to remove otherwise.I'm always looking for ways to introduce games in a unique way to the next generation.
