Operating 24-hours a day, provided nursing, personal support, dietary and recreation programming in a high-end service environment. Key duties and responsibilities:• Total responsibility for the overall day-to-day operations of a 94-suite retirement residence• Recruited key management including Clinical Director, Office Coordinator and Life Enrichment.• Develop, implement and updated policies to ensure compliance with all regulatory and provincial compliance, including the Retirement Homes Act (RHA).• Provided ongoing coaching, training and mentorship to department managers based on individual and resident care needs• Responsible for implementing creative marketing and sales programs for residents and employees to increase occupancy• Successfully overlooked a $2 million building renovation that led to increased occupancy and revenue.

Located in Vineland, Ontario, led a 7 member leadership team in a high-end 107-suite retirement residence. Operating 24-hours a day, this residence provides independent and assisted living accommodations.Key duties and responsibilities:• Total responsibility for the overall day-to-day operations of a 107-suite retirement residence resulting in the 2016 Outstanding Business Award. • Successfully overlooked a 51 suite Independent and Assisted Living expansion; increased suite capacity from 56 to 107 suites.• Developed, implemented and updated policies and procedures ensuring compliance with all regulatory and provincial compliance, including the Retirement Homes Act (2010). • Analyzed quarterly net operating income, profit and loss, payroll, etc., with ownership, while providing direction for financial improvements within all operating departments.• Responsible for overlooking a $4.5 million operating budget.

• In conjunction with the General Manager, provided ongoing resident care training to general department managers and registered staff (RN/RPN) to ensure regulatory compliance including, Falls Prevention, Infection Control, and Prevention of Elder Abuse.• Overlooked a team of 8 Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) and 15 Personal Support Workers (PSWs)• Overlooked initial hiring and monitoring of continual competency of employees who deliver resident care services.• Conducted audits and assessments including resident admission and care planning; medication administration; incident reporting; communication tools; documentation; consultations; and resident care needs (wound care, continence, falls, nutrition, etc.).• Responsible for ensuring compliance with the Retirement Homes Act.
