This includes the complex transformation of master data and cost flows to support various user needs (financial, tax, operational/execution, regulatory), conversion to the new universal ledger, increased automation, financial consolidations, cost allocations/cost accounting, and tax accounting. Our team is also responsible for transforming GAAP accounting into the FERC Uniform System of Accounts, which forms the basis for regulatory compliance and filings. Additionally, we direct the transformation and redesign of processes that support regulatory accounting across several departments. My responsibilities include gathering and understanding information about existing business processes and requirements, analyzing data and process flows, assisting in designing future business processes and requirements, and collaborating across multiple teams and levels of management to build the future Finance record-to-report process. My main responsibility is to be a leader within NEM and to assist in planning the future of NEM billing in partnership with multiple stakeholders.
