We develop and facilitate many modalities of best practice simulations including: low to high fidelity simulations, virtual online, standardized patients, virtual reality, 360 video/image applications, and more. We are our own center of simulation within NorQuest College with over 10 high fidelity mannequins, 4 theaters and 4 debrief rooms. We serve all the programs (20 plus) in the faculty of health and community studies as well as external industry and community expressions of interest. Offering simulation with exciting technology is one thing but we pride ourselves in offering best practices simulations following national standards as well as best practice debrief with skilled facilitation using several theoretical models.Creating psychological safety in learning is another important aspect of knowledge transference. Providing administrative and strategic leadership as well as oversight to operational function for the Nursing Program in its entirety including the online, hybrid, face to face, distance cohorts with 120 reporting staff including two program chairs and four associate chairs. Main Priorities: complete revamp of line/workload assignments of 84 faculty members. Advancing culture work to enhance laboratory instruction by using principles of EDI and antiracism. Internal process changes and development with regards to onboarding to different teaching lines, strategic planning with our college wide enrollment committee to establish goals in marketing and recruitment and supporting growth in nursing students.

The Projects and Innovation department represents the Faculty of Health and Community Studies in any opportunities that promotes the enhancement of learning outcomes and the learner experience. We also look for community enhancement projects by seeking meaningful partnerships with industry stakeholders. We are versatile and nimble in our portfolio with the focus of building towards the success of achieving NorQuest College's Imagine 2025 strategic plan. Some of the current projects:- 3 successful Practical Nurse Virtual Reality Skill based scenarios that promote learning engagement with game-based curriculum - Family Caregiver Wellness Initiative - Face to face and online learning resources that supports caregivers by using accredited nursing curriculum. It also includes the use of sophisticated simulation with standardized patients and high fidelity mannequins to build confidence and competency- International Portfolio - International partnerships related to nursing education in China - Development of new curriculum for the additional competencies to support the increased scope of LPNs under the regulatory body CLPNAWe are versatile in our portfolio and always interested in new opportunities, partnerships, and innovations.

For the Practical Nurse (PN) Program at NorQuest College. Responsible for clinical courses related portfolio within the program. This includes curriculum enhancement and program enhancement and leadership of a team of 30 plus clinical faculty members. The PN program consists of a face to face program with 2 intakes of 200 students each, it also has several different alternate delivery options such as online, part-time evenings, and several satellite rural campuses.
