As a programmer analyst, I design and build windows applications with the goal in mind of making fellow employee's jobs easier. I also build custom reports using enterprise-level databases, while often automating the reports to automatically be sent to whoever has requested them. Writing a program to automate a repetitive task makes everyone happy! Most of all, this job requires a lot of problem solving and thinking outside the box - and that makes me look forward to going in to work each day.

While at Sewall, I converted mapping data on paper to a digital format, working with both telecommunications and natural gas data. I did quality control for several years, helping to ensure data was captured within spec. Working in Microstation, I wrote and implemented macros, written in Microstation BASIC, which aided in automation and in making better tools for the job.In remote sensing, I was able to take aerial photos and "stitch" them together, while hiding the seams so that the viewer cannot tell they were "stitched". In photogrammetry, I viewed photos in stereo using 3D glasses, so they would appear to be 3D, and assign elevation data points to indicate features such as roads, trees, and buildings.
