Selected to the PhysOps leadership team to help build a new “Follow the Sun” global escalation program within AWS Security. PhysOps is fusing logical with physical security to drive continuous improvement and bar-raising outcomes.

Built a new global investigations program within Data Center Security. Owned and streamlined the global Red Media Escalation program (IRMA), resolved complex investigations, and led the VP-level Weekly Security Review (WSR) meeting, which included ~30 leaders across multiple verticals such as Operations, SOC, Legal, Decom, InfraSec, Hardware Engineering, Software Automation, Physical Security, SPEAR, etc.

Built and led the Amazon Physical Retail Loss Prevention Program, which directly supported all Amazon retail concepts (Fresh, Go “Just Walk Out,” Style, 4-Star, and Books). Built and implemented loss mitigation strategies to support new, ground-breaking tech such as Just Walk Out (JWO) and Amazon One biometrics authentication.

Spearheaded the Enterprise Technology Program within a budding PMO consisting of Project Managers, Coordinators, Business Analysts, and DB Administrators. Led consistent change through technology based solutions. Increased efficiency and eliminated redundancy, while creating and implementing standards and policies to support future enterprise growth. Led the implementation of new, SQL based predictive analytics, case management software and new store/remodel launch support (Access Control, Intrusion, VMS, Cameras). Directly managed all National Vendor contracts.

Led the corporate investigations program overseeing the Seattle Corporate Campus + 28 Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack locations within WA, OR, AK, ID and the Distribution and Quality Control Centers. Led two teams with 15 direct reports and 150 indirect reports. Consistently ranked in the top quartile for overall internal and external (ORC) case closure.

Supported two Flagship locations- the Fashion Valley Full Line and the Mission Valley Rack, which had a combined annual volume of ~$200 million. Through collaboration, achieved shrinkage decreases during all 5 inventory cycles while in role. This resulted in record low shrinkage results (0.54%), and an overall reduction of $550k.

Led the Loss Prevention program for the Nordstrom Full-Line Store located at the Mall of America. Through collaboration, achieved record low shrinkage in this location as well (0.43%). Forged relationships with local Law Enforcement and other retail Loss Prevention teams to resolve ORC theft.

Led the Loss Prevention program for the Nordstrom Full-Line Store located at the King of Prussia Mall in Pennsylvania. Achieved record low shrinkage results (0.66%), since the store opened in 1994. Forged relationships with local Law Enforcement and other retail Loss Prevention teams to resolve ORC theft.

Successfully launched the first Nordstrom Full-Line Store located in Pittsburgh, PA. Hired/trained a team of new LP professionals and managed the installation of the intrusion, access control, and camera systems. Forged relationships with local Law Enforcement and other retail Loss Prevention teams to resolve ORC theft.
