Aircraft Electrician
Current• Accurately read schematics and drawings to install wiring harnesses in the correct orientation on the aircraft.• Accurately read schematics and pinout diagrams to terminate and pin connectors and make proper modifications to wires including splices, jumpers, caps or removals. • Perform routine disassembly, repair, modification, assembly, and testing of electrical systems and components.• Perform functional checks on newly installed and existing electrical systems, wiring and cables using multimeters, megohmmeters, and specialized test sets.• Experienced in performing Block 8.1 Modification to C-130J aircraft, including removal, adding and modifying existing systems to aircraft. • Correct discrepancies by repair or replacement of electrical circuits, wires, connectors, control units, switches and circuit breakers.• Document maintenance as per Quality Assurance (QA) and established regulatory requirements.• Maintain a clean work environment by utilizing a clean-as-you-go process and performing weekly Foreign Object Damage (FOD) walk-downs.• Comply with processes and procedures as per DHS/DOD documents and publications.• Maintain and control tools according to USCG tool control policy and instructions, including doing regular tool inventory and inspections.• Perform progressive, isochronal, phase, periodic, and other hourly or calendar inspections.
