As one of the first 10 employees and the first Senior Engineer, I've been able to heavily influence the software architecture direction. By leveraging my experience in startups, we've been able to effectively build out our products/applications. I've helped empower and direct the team to efficiently move from an early stage monolithic codebase to a Domain Specific APIs feeding into our feature rich front-end applications/apps. This, coupled with a well design data store and CI/CD, has set a great foundation for future success.

I wore many hats but I mainly focused on the internal and external web applications consisting of PHP, CodeIgniter, MySQL, JavaScript, jQuery, MongoDB, and CentOS. As the company and engineering team rapidly grew, we needed to change our focus to scalability and tuning our core products. I now primary work with Java 8, Dropwizard (Jersey, Jetty, Jackson, Maven…), Git, and DynamoDB developing micro services running on the AWS ecosystem. I also focused heavily on our MySQL database and uphold high standards for MySQL DDL changes.
