Project: ExxonMobil Campus ProjectProject Location: Spring, TXClient: ExxonMobil Project Role: Assistant Project Manager & Project ManagerStart Date, End Date: 2010, ongoingProject Description: A multi-billion dollar campus featuring 14 office buildings, a featured building (Energy Center) a laboratory, a Wellness Center, a Central Utility Plant, a Computing Facility, a Child Care Center, 3 parking garages, and beautiful landscaping tying it all together. The job also featured a tunnel system connecting all buildings. This campus was built to consolidate a majority of ExxonMobil’s ~10,000 employees.Initially slotted as an Assistant Project Manager, I progressed to Project Manager and was responsible for managing the curtain wall project-wide. I was also responsible for establishing an extensive change order process. The curtain wall was designed with ~1 million square feet of Roman Travertine stone cladded into the system. I was responsible for managing the procurement process from an Italian vendor and coordinating shipments to the curtain wall contractor’s fabrication plants. I was also responsible for a stone contractor who was hired to repair and replace all broken Travertine after install on a T&M basis. I held a secondary duty as liaison to Exxon, the client. I managed this work to closeout.

I moved from Sandpoint, ID to Houston, TX in March of 2012 and was assigned to field engineer on one of the main Light Rail corridors (The Southeast Corridor) of the Metro Solutions Light Rail Transit Project. My focused discipline included finishes and punch list and project closeout for the corridor along with managing the construction of a driver kiosk station and assiting with all grading work. My responsibilities include managing and supervising field crews. Scheduling and managing subcontractors and their contracts. Tracking quantities, production and materials. The HRT joint venture consists of four companies, Parsons, Granite Construction, Kiewit Construction, and Stacy and Witbeck Inc., with Parsons being the managing partner. This project is a continuation of the existing Metro Light Rail running through downtown Houston. This contract includes four corridors of double line embedded rail covering a total of approximately 20 miles.

I started as an Inter for Parsons in June 2010 and was hired on as a full time field engineer in October of 2010. I was responsible for field engineering duties for all earthworks, utilities, flatwork, and applicable subcontractors. My experience on this project includes quantity tracking, quantity takeoffs, tracking and submitting all Time and Material work, estimating, drafting and transmitting, subcontractor and client correspondence, productivity tracking, approving subcontractor and supplier invoices, and interacting with client representatives to validate Parsons monthly billing quantities for all work which I was assigned to oversee. I also have experience writing Requests For Information, preparing readiness reviews, interpreting drawings and specifications, reading CPM schedules, and developing traffic control plans.Project Details:Project: Sandpoint North and South Sand Creek BywayProject Location: Sandpoint, IdahoClient: Idaho Department of TransportationProject Role: Field EngineerStart Date, End Date: 9/2008, 7/2012Project Description: This $98 million project involves constructing two miles of new alignment along U.S. 95, a four-lane highway with two lanes in each direction. The project scope includes shoreline extensions involving dredging and sheet pile walls; four steel girder bridge structures; 34 Retaining walls of which 17 are mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) walls (other walls are sheet-pile and cast-in place); pedestrian walkways; interchange modifications, including new on- and off-ramps at each end of the project; and a railroad embankment for future rail expansion.

I worked seasonally for SG Construction Company as an apprenticeLaborer/Carpenter/Ironworker for several years. As an employee of SGConstruction, Dustin worked on schools, a library, a hospital, and othercommercial buildings in Burlington, Iowa and surrounding areas.

I worked as a carpenter for Hanson Homes while attending College.As an employee of Hanson Homes he worked on the construction of acommercial building and several residential buildings in Ames, Iowa.
