As the Director of Army Officer Education and Professor of Military Science at Vanderbilt University, I was responsible for developing leaders of competence and character. In two years as the director, we increased our enrollment by 55% and increased our student to career field satisfaction to a maximum of 100%. In addition, we have instituted an annual Veteran's Day campus event, improved the academic rigor of the curriculum, and initiated both a mentor and guest speaker program.

Fort Bliss, Texas / Afghanistan

As program director, I led an organization of 700+ employees managing training, logistics, communications, safety, and human resource projects valued at over $500M in project assets. One training project set an Army safety record earning our organization a total of six safety awards. Another training project resulted in tripling employee expert credentialing over comparable organizations. Yet another produced double the certified security personnel over comparable organizations. In Afghanistan, I supervised a base construction program comprised of over 20+ projects including security and airfield construction. Our team also executed a project to improve cross-cultural security processes which was commended by NATO as the best practice in the country.

During this period, I first served as an assistant project manager on a research project focused on identifying national security requirements that led to the design of a new Army organization. Next, I served as a project manager for executive research projects, executive strategic stakeholder engagements, executive strategic communications, and managed Army wide implementation of completed research projects.

Fort Riley, Kansas / Afghanistan

As Director, I led a team of 25+ employees for an organization of 4,000+ employees who synchronized operations, communications, logistics, planning, and projects to achieve training and national security objectives. In Afghanistan, I developed our strategic plan, methods and techniques to enable cross-cultural advising, and supervised two distinct base closure projects. I also led a training project whose environmental conditions were the first of its kind and later replicated to other Army organizations.

Fort Knox, Kentucky

I was responsible for the development and certification of eighteen faculty members who taught over 1,800+ U.S. Army managers tactics, operations, planning, logistics, supply, maintenance, and human resources systems on an annual basis. I also developed new curriculum, including a project contributing to the Army wide management common core. I integrated business intelligence tools into the classroom and practical learning environments. I also taught my own seminar of 15-18 students during each class cycle who routinely achieved educational outcomes at the top of their larger classes.

Germany / Iraq

As a senior operations manager, I led an organization of 110+ employees. I was responsible for tactical operations, employee training, employee morale, logistics, and human resource functions. While in Iraq, secured neighborhoods, mentored neighborhood advisory councils, ensured delivery of essential services, and assisted development of the rule of law. Supervised the refurbishment of dilapidated buildings, transforming them into a security base.

Germany / Iraq

As an assistant to the Director of Operations, I managed a project that fielded a new business intelligence platform, including employee training, for an organization of 15,000+ employees. I also authored the standard operating procedures for the platform's use. I led an operations team that consisted of over 50+ employees who were responsible for personnel tracking, operational intelligence, weather forecasting, de-conflicting airspace, ensuring communications architecture, coordinating civil actions, informing the press and local authorities, and tactical operations. Daily, I presented operational updates to senior executives both orally and in writing as well as authored the CEO's daily summary. I was additionally responsible for monitoring the movements and activities of over 25+ subordinate organizations. Further, I was responsible for alerting, presenting, and recommending crisis action solutions to senior executives during serious incidents.

Fort Campbell, Kentucky / Kosovo

As a logistics manager, I led twenty one employees with eighteen wheeled trucks to provide transportation, ammunition, and general logistics support to an organization of 700+ employees. I synchronized and delivered all internal logistics efforts as well as coordinated for external logistics capabilities and capacity. In my second logistics management role during this time period, I managed logistical support for a 150+ employee organization including maintenance, food, office supplies, petroleum and fuel, construction material, ammunition, medical supplies, and repair parts.
