I have been in the Fire and EMS field for 18 years. During this time, I have been able to learn and complete some amazing lifesaving skills and have truly built my understanding of a very sick patient. I have thoroughly enjoyed the experience and knowledge I have gained from the pre-hospital setting. Of this time, I have spent 10 years at the ALS Paramedic level and 12 years instructing Fire and EMS. I have also held the rank as Chief at Easterpines Fire/Rescue EMS where I gained invaluable knowledge of managing and maintaining an efficient, cost effective Paramedic Level Agency. Throughout my career I have served on numerous committees, to include Quality Assessment Committee for Pitt County where I was able to provide continuous improvement to clinicians of the EMS System through quality education practices. I have reached a point in my career that my knowledge and experience can be used to provide guidance and durability through quality improvement and advancement in education as well as advising tactical mitigation practices across Local Government agencies.
