With Merit Energy, I started in the Oil & Gas Marketing group (2002-2005) where I was in charge of bid packages, oil & gas sale contracts, gas nomination & gas balancing. I then moved to the Treasury group (aka Financial Planning & Analysis group) (2005-2008) where I helped build Merit's financial planning application in Outlooksoft (now called SAP BPC). I became proficient with t-SQL and BPC (both as a user and developer). As a Senior Financial Analyst, I also had FP&A responsibilities. Next I moved to the Information Technology group (2008-present) as a Senior Systems Analyst. In addition to BPC model support, I became proficient in SAP BW and Integrated Planning (including ABAP language) where I built several financial models that support our accounting close cycle as well as other key financial processes. My responsibilities include Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, and Analytics. I am also in the process of learning to develop BI solutions with BusinessObjects.
