After 15 years experience in geological thin section preparation I have opened my own lab in 2018 Precision Petrographics LTD with the mindset to setting new quality standards in the geological preparation sector. I am not only the owner but I am also the senior lab technician. Opening my own lab has allowed me the opportunity to design and manufacturer all of our machines on site with the help of an aerospace machinist who machined all of the components right down to the smallest gear. We are also now able to implement new techniques and apply all of my knowledge of geological preparation into a fresh,innovative and exciting workplace. We have introduced new techniques for display polishing that leaves your samples with a finish that almost looks wet. If you need mirror image display polishing, a matte finish polish of Kimberlite core or thin sections made, I am confident my products will stand out. We have also implemented new techniques for creating polished thin sections. My polished thin sections are flat across the entire slide that have all 4 corners still visable at 30um with an incredible microprobe quality finish. Perfect for SEM and reflective light study.
