ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:· Design and develop hydraulic lifts and automated wheelchair ramps through parametric modeling in CAD (Inventor)· Apply standard engineering principles and techniques to ensure successful designs.· Plan for design, procurement, assembly, and validation requirements that align with overall Project Timing, Stage Gate (APQP) and Mitigation Strategies.· Ensure Designs and systems conform to budgeted Quality and Cost targets.· Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Quality, Sales, Portfolio) to ensure designs account for all requirements.· Suggest Low-cost Design alternatives, Common Designs, and Standardization.· Build and design prototypes.· Continuously improve designs, processes, and timing, maintaining project specifications.· Participate in design reviews to ensure all products are developed and engineered to meet or exceed requirements.· Review designs with peers for good design practices and any anticipated design concerns.· Works with the project team to ensure design release and part supply align with the overall program.· Attends project meetings and presents specific aspects of design engineering assignments.

I was working in the dynamics lab. I assisted the lab technicians in running mechanical and vibration testing for validation or verification. Also gain experience with working in CAD software by making 3-D model of testing fixture.

I helped with odd jobs that included soldering skills along with other technical skills. I also helped with environmental testing chambers.

In the back room, I washed dishes and prepared some of the food. In the front, I answered calls, took orders for customers, boxed the food up, and handed to them. I also did some yard work.
