Dustin is CEO and Co-Founder of Shatterbox, a Modern Apprenticeship Platform for sectors facing talent crisis, and of Baker Lewis, a national advisory firm specializing in staffing and management consulting in the SBA lending sector. He began his career at the SBA industry’s trade group, where he forged deep relationships with managers of many of the nation’s top SBA lenders. He entered SBA recruiting in 2004, and later founded the SBA industry’s preeminent executive search firm (Baker Lewis and its predecessor, Dustin Baker & Company). He’s placed hundreds of SBA professionals, including a number of Directors of top 20 national SBA programs. His connectivity with leaders across the industry gives him unique insights into challenges facing the sector. Dustin is the author of the industry’s only proprietary compensation study (in its 7th iteration). He is a regular panelist and contributor at regional SBA events, the creator and host of The SBA Roadshow, a docu-series that highlights the economic impact of SBA loans in communities across the country, and one of the most recognizable figures in the SBA industry.
