In this position I managed implementation activities of new security tools. I also designed technical security standards for all company-owned equipment and upheld all database security standards while managing all remediation efforts. My role was to assess project plans for security compliance and provide mitigating controls to resolve standard issues. I was responsible for ensuring company security aligned with NIST, PCI, and HIPPA standards. Key Achievements:● Implemented a multi-factor authentication project that moved over 30,000 users from RSA/McAfee OTP to Duo.● Successfully identified system vulnerabilities and developed action plans to address and resolve. ● Drove an enterprise- wide project to develop data-flow and system schematic diagrams that dramatically improved environment visibility.● I built security-focused Operating System technical specifications that became the baseline requirement for all devices in the environment.

While at General Dynamics, I directly supported 32 sites spanning across five continents. I also managed real-time network monitoring and investigated and resolved all issues. On a daily basis I coordinated threat response and incident recovery operations. Part of my role was also to manage Cisco Router/Switch/Firewall configurations. Key Achievements:● I significantly reduced the incident report process and increased accuracy by designing, developing, and implementing shell scripts that pulled needed data from SYSLOGS and formatted into a viable report.● I identified the need for a defined rule sets in intrusion protection system and proactively developed new signatures in response to heartbeat vulnerability.● Within less than a year in the position, I was promoted to a Tier 2 Supervisor.

In this role I directed all maintenance actions while supervising a 300+ team of technicians including both active duty air force and contracted civilian personnel. I was the sole liaison between communications unit and the Commander. I also excelled in mentoring and training staff and assisting with their career advancement. I developed trend analysis data to forecast future project areas and maintain a proactive maintenance approach. Coordinated all security incident response and completed all required documentation. Key Achievements:● I successfully coordinated maintenance actions for a $4.5 billion enterprise spanning 15 countries in 4 continents by focusing on communication with technicians and customers.

I supervised all aspects of classified data and voice network and installed, configured, and troubleshot Cisco and Brocade routing, switching, and call manager devises. I frequently performed network devise backups and investigated any issues by reviewing the SYSLOGS. Key Achievements:● I managed 14 segregated classified data/voice networks within a $4.5 billion enterprise supporting 1400 users. ● I became a subject matter expert for copper and fiber optic cable installation, termination, and maintenance.

I supervised 32 technicians to provided support for 500+ Unix/ Window workstations and servers across 14 classified networks and installed and configured new systems. I also provided troubleshooting support by checking the SYSLOGS, running security audits, and generating Shell scripts.
