Hortau specializes in crop management through real-time soil tension monitoring and weather monitoring including wind speed, wind direction, rainfall intensity, cumulative rainfall, temperature, relative humidity, barometric pressure, solar radiation, evapotranspiration, degree-days, chilling hours and chill portions.Responsibilities:-Train customers on how to use the Hortau irrigation management platform in both the iPhone and Android mobile apps and desktops to better understand the science between water/soil/plant relationships.-Regularly monitor soil moisture and irrigation to help growers make better agronomic decisions for optimal growth while reducing inputs.-Maintain Hortau equipment and Hortau platform.

Advise PCAs and growers on fertilizers, soil amendments and pesticides to increase crop yields and quality in northern CA and CA coast.Regularly collect samples of soil and plant tissue for nutrient and disease analysis.Develop agronomic programs for balancing nutrition and improving overall plant health. Manage contract research projects and in-house research projects to determine efficacy of products.Maintain client relations as well as sales and marketing of the company's services.
